You might also think about -embedding- smaller plates here and there
(inside craters or rills, for example) to enable you to achieve a
more solid footing for your models. I've thought about this myself,
both for space theme as well as for castle theme, but have yet to
try it out. I guess we'll see which of us gets to it first, eh? <grin>
By the way...what sort of paint have you found to work best (i.e., adheres
best and looks correct) for use on ABS?

| Embedding plates, that´s a good idea. For bases etc, I thoguht that I´d build the model on it´s own baseplate, then just put it on the display, like it´s done in the catalogues. I don´t know if it really is necessary to embed plates, if you can make (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)
