  Re: AT-TE Assembled Pics

Thanks Joe! Attaching this to mecha group for those interested. I think we'll be putting these to good use. Mark (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry: LT-100 Hurricane

(...) *blush* thanks. (...) That wasn't too difficult. The mech is built on a throwbot frame. (...) Woo hoo! I have to show you all the guns mine has (plus the spare lasers in the backpack :) (...) That's right! :) -Anne -- I get plenty of exercise- (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: ISCC II Moc: MAYA Land

Hey Yaron, thanks, this is the first Ancient Americas MOC I recall in awhile. Somehow studs look good on Mayan pyramids, maybe because I'm prepared to see them somewhat "greebly". The few smooth slopes you use make a nice counterpoint. The greenery (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.cad)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

Golden Calf highlights: I really like how the calf changes from the first to the second picture as Aaron wasn't finished carving it yet. Nice detail. The design of the calf itself is good. As with your previous cows, the SNOT work lets you use those (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Mechastruct entry: LT-100 Hurricane

let me get this right: this is your FIRST mecha? that thing is fabulous! it's way better than my first mecha--which was more like a clunky robot with big guns. you got the gundam look down also. i really like how you incorporated the entire white (...)   Mechastruct entry: LT-100 Hurricane

This is the first mech I've been, but what the hey, I'll enter him in the contest :) I have to thank all the mech builders out there for inspiring me, not to mention all the advice :) Category is military mech over 8 inches tall. Stands 12 inches (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

Hey Brendan, I've only had a chance to go through the first story, The Ten Commandments. Pages are loading almost unbearably slowly, so it took a while. I really like the mountains in the distance in that first picture. I might copy that design when (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: mechastruct entry: AV-05 Gunjin

(...) Mechastruct is finally filling in. The Gunjin looks like a Zaku and an RX-79 got combined, with the RX's guns and colors, and a zaku chassis and armor style. Every time I look at one of these, it almost makes me want to scrap all my (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct Entry: Travoltamech

(...) Thanks. The hands are the yellow foam hands that come with the soccer sets. A useless mech doesn't need articulated fingers. The shoulder hinge holes are the new 2X2X2 clicking hinges(the ones from the new alpha team/slave one). I love these (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct Entry: Travoltamech

I'm bummed. It's not the one from Grease ;) OMG- awesome! :) -Anne (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

The transformation is a compromise, and even moreso with lego than with the toys, it makes the robot form suffer, aesthetically speaking. That's no disrespect for the transforming lego mecha that I've seen, they are quite good, and in the case of (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

Whoa. That's cool. I'd say you got the look dead on. Dang. (checking pics out again) Dang. I'd say though, without getting Hasbro's (they still own TF?) permission or liscense, TLC isn't going to touch you. I've noticed that Transformers are making (...)   Re: Mechastruct Entry: Travoltamech

Gadzooks. Better take care of that one, I'd hate to see what happens when the oil pump in the hair goes out. Beautiful job! Mark (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct Entry: Mighty Mech

And the moral of all of this is; do not mess with cats. They're evil through and through. I should know, I got three. I just hate to think what they are building in the back yard. Neat mech Eric. I particuarily like the fairy wings on the back. Arms (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

NBA Minifigs - New Legs and Arms

Got one of the small NBA sets yesterday, so I've had a chance to examine the minifig, and it's different from the standard minifigs. 1. Arm and hand are all one piece, so the hand does not rotate at the wrist. Presumbaly this is to make it easier (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

*the sound of a dull thud echoes around the halls as my Jaw hits the floor* NIIIICE :D absolutely superb work here, dead on likeness on each, I'm so very impressed - but they don't transform :( my optimus may not look as impressive, but he does (...)   Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

I really like this trend in mecha. Transformers rock! My suggestions would be perhaps some of the smaller ones that actually transform, like Bumblebee or Brawn. Since you got Prime, maybe Ultra Magnus wouldn't be too hard to make. And why not try (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

OH MY LORD! Those are SPOT-ON perfect, both to the DreamWave comics and the original cartoon. They are, quite frankly, the most perfect representations of any Transformers characters that I've ever seen...no offense meant to anyone else, but I am (...)   Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

Wow. I'd buy 'em. He's not an autobot, but I'm definitely a Soundwave fan (thus, the Ravage). I was thinking of reworking Ravage and making the other cassettes. :) If you want to make a Soundwave, let me know. I'd love to get them to work together (...)   Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

Hi all. I've posted a preview picture of my 3 finished Transformer figures. You'll recognize Megatron of course, but he's had some refinements since you last saw him, including custom stickers and a black gun. Optimus and Starscream are new, I think (...)
