Re: This is Where I Build (Quasi Roll Call)

(...) I currently have my small room packed with boxes of MOCs and shelves. I have a old school desk as my table. It's pretty small. But when I put a chair at it my bed is on my other side, so I spread out legos over the bed. (...) Probably only 3x3 (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: Ravage G1 Transfomer URL

(...) Thanks. It was an interesting experience doing a mech of any type, and I'm hoping with the techniques I play with over time I'll be able to get him to transform. An interesting postscript on the build process: it started at work on my white (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Ravage G1 Transfomer URL

(...) Yeah, he and Soundwave are my favourites. :) (...) It's LEGOs, dude. Anything is possible. :) Hopefully in the future, I'll be able to get it to transform. I just have a feeling I need to take a look at some of the techniques other folks used. (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech!

Sweet, I dig stuff like that, when you get a chance, (I feel kinda bad saying this but) Could you make the wings swing back with little turntables or somthing? I just thought it would be cool if it did that. Anyway, cool deal. e (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  RE: articulation points?

(...) However, a device is made up of several objects. Each component, if treated separately, has six degrees of freedom. Thus each component of, for example, the human arm (reduced to an upper arm, lower arm, and hand) has 6 DOF, for a total of 18. (...)   Re: This is Where I Build (Quasi Roll Call)

This is Where I Build My building area is made from: A table which I built to fit a specific area in a room. (Approx 30" by 24") It turned out to be easier to just build the table to fit the space, rather than hunt about for a new or used table. The (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: articulation points?

(...) Oh? Hmmm...do tell. (...) Right! I see. In my own way I work around certain "movements" or joints by making two separete joints cover the same envelope or Area or Control. I mean in that, for example. The Arms of my Super Mech-Bot don't have (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

This is Where I Build (Quasi Roll Call)

I did some searches and couldn't really find anything of this type having been previously done on LUGNET, so here goes: We've all seen the existing roll call forms. There are those for generic LEGO fans, for space fans, castle etc. Here's one with a (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

StarWars Ep. II MECHA from lego!

Hello all- Just saw this pic, and was totally thrilled! Lego is releasing the AT-TF from Ep. II! Although it is probably gonna cost an arm and a leg, it is definately a step up from bioicle 'mecha' they have previously done. (URL) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Ravage G1 Transfomer URL

(...) Awesome job! It'd be even better if it could transform, but still.... I will try to do a transformer soon, they are to cool to pass up, and I have 45 beast wars figs. Yeah, I liked something other than lego for a while. ;) Ryan (URL) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Mech!

Hello all- I recently cannibalized my Slave 1, Republic Gunship, and both of my Jedi Starfighters, thus enabling me to complete a couple new mechs. The Stinger Land/Air-Mecha (LAM) is one of them. With the capability to transform into an aerospace (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: articulation points?

  Re: articulation points?

thanks for taking the time to answer my question. if i calculated correctly (assuming that i count each joint only once per semetrical side , i.e., one shoulder joint, one hip joint, etc.) my model has about 20 poa and 40 dof. this is how i figure (...)
