  Re: Using airtanks on 8868

(...) Don't you loose all precise control with the air tank? My experience with using the air tanks is that when you flip the switch, the cylinders go _smack_ to the extreme position at once. Fredrik (25 years ago, 19-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)

  Using airtanks on 8868

Take a look at this picture: (URL) see those white things, that are supposed to look like air tanks? If you have two of the blue, *real*, pneumatic air tanks, you can replace those white things with them. I tried that, but I own only one airtank. It (...) (25 years ago, 19-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: want a LEGO Phone?

Good idea! Any picture? :) I bought a Tyco phone like this one: (URL) it's not real Lego... When I was a kid, I built a mechanical calculator that could add and subtract numers from 0 to (I think it was) 52. I has no practical use for, but it was (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)

  Instruction scans for 1775?

Does anyone have set 1775, the airline promo? (URL) like to get scans of the instructions, or if you can, upload them to brickshelf.com so everyone can use them. (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)

  want a LEGO Phone?

Do any of you want a Lego phone? I've herd about them and always wanted one, but could never find one. One day I had a sudden idea.. what is Lego for? To build with. So I built a Lego phone, and it works just fine. So if you want a Lego phone, make (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)

Touch Sensor Rotation Counter (was: proud of myself (+ some questions))

(...) If you want to free up your rotation sensor and only have a need to count rotations (as in this application) you might want to try my Touch Sensor Rotation Counter (inspired by Laurentino Martins' design). I find it a bit easier to actually (...) (25 years ago, 17-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

(...) The two motors drivetrain (coupled through a differential) that others suggested is a very practical and effective solution. (...) The last Town JR construction set (6565) had a six-wide railing used as the sides of one of the cheesy (did I say that?) trucks.   proud of myself (+ some questions)

So, I got sent home early from work today, due to the hurricane and all. Good thing because 1) I'd left our windows open 2) Kenmore Square is apparently flooded and it woulda been hard to get home later and, most importantly, 3) I made a cool lego (...)
