  Re: New here

Hey Mike! Thanks for not taking it the wrong way, trust me, I'm not into telling people what to do. I'm gald your willing to reconsider the name. Your MOCs are too cool to turn people off with names like that. Like I said cool stuff. I dig it. right (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: A-4 skyhawk is now posted

Thanks for the comments Mark. Its always gratifying to hear from someone, especially another LEGO aircraft builder. It is a long term goal of mine to build all of my designs out of actual bricks but until I some variables fall into place (money, (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: My MOCs in ABS

(...) Thanks Bruce but I really can't take all of the credit. Mattias did have to do some structural reinforcement of my designs and the ejection seat design that you enjoyed is purely his design - I use a similar but standardized seat for all my (...)   Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Jacob, that is absolutely brilliant! Dang you must have had an extra helping of weaties this morning. I gotta go take some vitamins just to comprehend the genius. Excellent idea. Wow. OMG. e ===...=== Amazing but true. See diagram below. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Brian, thanks for the reply. I remember this hand!! I remebered the comments about your friends and how strong the hand is. Dang it was good to see that hand again, it was really well done. I have considered making a pnuemo hand, evan at a small (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

That is quite a problem you have there. The immortal question to follow the easy road, or plow through the boulders (legos in this case) and set the way for those that follow. I myself, not at all new to this exact problem, have little advice (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

home made chrome (and Naboo Yacht)

Well, as part of an experiment, I made Padme's Yacht from Episode 2. It includes my attempt at chroming my own bricks. Check it out at www.fbtb.net (just follow the link from the front page :) ) And please, post feedback! (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Technic ATV et al

(cross posting on Build, originally in technic) Hi all, So I've come out of the dark ages finally and decided to join lugnet to bask in and osmose the combined (astounding) wisdom of the builders here. Haven't done much since coming out of dark ages (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Don't do it! Or if you do, make it look like you didn't! Here's pnuematic humanoid hand, albeit at 1:1 scale. Might be able to scale it down, though. (URL) you have to make a pincher, add extra fingers, even if just for looks. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New here

Heh...I do agree about the name myself (not to mention it doensn't fit the model). It was a suggestion from a friend, and I was such a rush to post the pics. The name shall be changed...any suggestions? I'm definitely up for those =) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Great advice from the DR.!!!! You see through to the quandry. A purely mechanical claw hand would detract from the form I am attempting to create. And while a mildly disguised claw hand would ...ehhh be ok, I'll have to settle on something. The (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I don't really like the nose of the MIG, but perhaps I should take this (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: A-4 skyhawk is now posted

I've been enjoying your work for some time now, espcially as I'm also a Lego aviation enthusiast. I think it's great how virtually every plane remaining plane I can think of that I'd like to see minifig scale 'brickified' you've already done! F-15 (...) In lugnet.build.mecha, Eric Sophie writes: <snip> (...) Hmmm... I personally don't think there's anything wrong with claws on a robot.   Question, opinion, help - Claw Hands

Folks, I'm in a bit of a quandry. Traditionally I don't like "Claw Hands" meaning the kind you see on a Submersable Sub or better know as Pinchers or Grabers. My problem: I'm making a Mid-Sized Technic Fig Scale Robotic Mecha. (4ft.tall biped) I (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.robotics)

Announcing 'Nyaneo' - The first ever Land Of Bricks MOCM!!

  My MOCs in ABS

(...) Alas, all of my MOCs are built entirely on the computer using MLCAD and until the time comes that my disposable income reaches critical mass and there is a sale on Brickbay, it looks to stay that way.
