Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Just kidding. I think you'd need about a million bricks for that. But if anyone could build it, it'd be you. Nice job! --Dave (jot and jab) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Thanks. The torch indeed looks good in the dark, but does not photograph very well at all. Plus, I was out of batteries for the torch light on the day I was taking these pictures. Nonetheless, thanks for looking. (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Indeed I do enjoy Nathan! What is the internal structure like? The guys at LLW said when they are doing buildings they put 2x bricks as bracing roughly every 10 studs, have you done something similar? If so I bet they aren't tan as you appear (...)   Re: MOC Statue of Liberty Pedestal

(...) Liberty set #3450, a pedestal kit for her to stand on. I would also hope it looked as nice as the one you built. You have shown (as many of the creative minds that post their pics. here) that one does not need to wait for a preformed kit - (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Orc, OY!

(...) Yeah, I keep fooling with this leg setup. I think I got it pretty good here though. The legs tilt and swivel at the hip, making it so no matter what the angle of the legs, the foot can stand flat. Also, because of the hip mobility, the body (...) (...) demonstrates a need for LEGO to get more of the new colors into circulation. While I'm fond of reducing specialized parts, I must admit that I'm also terribly fond of some of the new colors. They allow for much more realistic structures and (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: HMLS Snottler Page

(...) Hey, Richie, bearing Bryce's comment in mind, can I issue you a challenge? I use a 1:1.8 compression factor (effectively I work around 1/75 scale or so)--could you build the next Snottler iteration at that large a scale? I'm drooling over the (...)   Re: 1592 Belville variation

(...) I have been following the creations of the 1592 like sets since they were started. I think yours is a wonderful variation on this theme! Welcome to the fold and show us what other Belville creation you make! Greg (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.build)

  Re: HMLS Snottler Page

I've said this before but the Snottler really is one of my favorite lego warships around. I particularly like seeing the design lineage of the various versions on the website. Judging by the Snottler's rate of growth the HMLS Snottler 4.0 should be (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)
