(...) I've built an eight-wide train for my 4.5V tracks, too. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to get enough friction with the track when you don't use train wheels for the drive wheels. The bricks have the hollow center in the studs but the baseplates (At least the baseplates) do not. Scott (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

I would think any fullheight bricks with an even number of studs in each direction ought to work, the DUPLO(r) baseplate studs are the same as the brick studs, their hollow center mates with the LEGO(r) tube. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

I picked up two large green DUPLO baseplates at a garage sale today and I am wondering what (if any) LEGO bricks fit directly onto the DUPLO baseplate. I know I can put some duplo bricks onto the baseplate and then use LEGO on those but I would (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)
