  Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) Thanks! (...) The helicopter is about as small as I could get it, while preserving the general shape, side-by-side seating, and clearance underneath for the torpedo. The hangar could be narrowed (by four studs if necessary - I left clearance (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Circular airlock!

(...) Thanks Gil; me either! (...) Uhh...I'm not sure, but i don't think so. I don't recall how Dan used them, but you wouldn't be able to have 1/4 of the cylinder cut out, as the 4x4 ones are in halves. I'm sure there's some kind of way to make it (...) Check it out at (URL) After a brief run-in with Tripod, I have convinced them to restore my previously deleted-by-them site. I have updated the Clan Battlemechs section, and the Clan Fleet areas.   Re: A-66 Night Stalker

The oversize guns are meant to give the aircraft a "Crimson Skies" look... If you are unfamiliar with the game check out the official website at: (URL) Stranger to Danger Dark Knight (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New photos of MOC - the German 8,8 Flak/Pak

(...) Thanks Bryce Minifig accessories are a great resource for detailing military models, as many of them are made in grey or black. Finding a way to use a normally 'useless' part as the space binocular is always gratifying. I have a goal to avoid (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: 300 Years Before: Desert Landscape II

(...) as known from here... ;-) (URL) building techniques are alway hard to find: I disbelieve this was the first time a chan was fixed to a minifigs arm.... But I am still in hope these 'shackles' have been a new invention: (URL) (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build)

Rebirth of Cool LEGO Site of the Week

There are a few people interested in running/helping with a continuation of Cool LEGO Site of the Week, and I know I'm not alone in wanting it back. Let's begin a fresh conversation on this!   Re: A-66 Night Stalker

(...) Nice bird. I do like the shape, pretty good use of those new slopy bits. My main beef is he size of the cannons. (eek! I'm complaining about the size of a gun. Dang it, snowballs are melting in hades...) They are a tad too big I feel. Plus, (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: HMLS Snottler III

(...) I really hate to butt in here, but you took the idea right out of my head! After that experiement building a to-scale (non-SNOT) sloop a while back, and then pirating the SNOT technique on my Canopus-class Pre-Dreadnought, I've been gathering (...)   Re: A-66 Night Stalker

(...) What a sinister-looking plane! Sorta a contemporary P-61 Black Widow twin boom night fighter....a nice take on it! Nice overall treatment of the 'intimidation factor'too-it looks like a craft that means business! Joe Meno (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: 300 Years Before: Desert Landscape II

(...) <snip> Some great surprise building techniques here...especially the chain that fits over a minifig's arm once the hand is removed and relaced... -- Thomas Main thomasmain@hotmail.com (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Circular airlock!

Very cool...can't wait to see it appear on someone's capital ship! I wonder if the same concept could be applied using the smaller cylinders (4x4)in a similar manner to it's usage in Dan Jassim's Starshuttle? Do they make curves of that size? I'm (...)   Re: Circular airlock!

(...) Interestingly, the dark room at my high school had the same door too. Awesome airlock; I'm always amazed at what people manage to accomplish with the limited curves LEGO gives us. Bryan (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)
