  Re: Help Please Links! -----> .Mecha

Everyone Please add your Links to this thread. Keep the Link info simple: Title of your Site Link URL Make sure your site at least has no content which may be objectionable. I would say a "G" rating at least has the chance of getting listed. Let's (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Help Please Links! -----> .Mecha

Um, Help please! Our little corner of Lugnet has no Curator. .Mecha, but with no Curator our Links are not getting updated. I for one have paid money to be a part of Lugnet and I would like my Link posted to the resources list. Legomaster's Lego (...)   Re: Ok! Why not - A Little Grey Bot

Rob, I streched what I had, plus the 1/4 Oval Technic beam plates are only avail. in Dark Grey. (The ones I use in the upper Legs)(Thanks Tobbe) I got them in the Destroyer Droid set (and x2 from Brian Sad!). So adding Dark Grey to the overall Bot (...)   Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Crap ! !

(...) But now TLC has started breaking up the parts into sequentially needed bags (see, e.g., 7153) so the number of parts with which you must deal at any one time is substantially less than the total number of parts in the set. (...) This also (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Ok! Why not - A Little Grey Bot

(...) Any reason why this one is two colors, and all the others are one? It just seems a little out of place. Rob robo2705@hotmail.com (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Crap ! !

(...) Why dump the parts out of the bags? Usually, the parts are organized *mostly* by size -- all the smallest parts in one bag, all the biggest parts in another bag, and then everything in between going whereever it goes. Once you learn which bag (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Moly ! !

(...) When I was describing the UCS X-Wing to a non-AFOL, his first response was, "Gee, I imagine that the box includes a tray to sort out all of those parts." What a simple way for LEGO to add value: imagine if the packing for these mega-kits (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Crap ! !

(...) Yeah, that's often what I do for large sets. I won't quite *sort* the pieces so much as empty out the bags into seperate piles. And since all the X pieces in Y color come in a single bag (usually), it saves actually having to *really* sort the (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Crap ! !

My thinking here is that there is a polynomial or even exponential time function at work with large sets. The more parts a set has, the greater the fraction of total build time is spent looking for a particular part. The way to decrease that (...) Hey Kepplah, The only differnces are external. They are the same design thru-out. Really the only differences are in what I could come up with to complete each color. Which is a good thing because it gives the series simularity while each LB is (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
