  The Terrorformer! (BT1 Contest Entry)

Hi all! My submission to the BT1 Space Building Contest Catagory 5... (URL) those in control, I suggest the use of this thumbnail... (URL) page above describes most of the important details of my spacecraft, both from my story perspective and from a (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Artist's Studio Retreat (ISCC Entry)

(...) I must say, the model does successfully capture the "feel" of a Le Corbusier building. I went to Clemson Univ. in Clemson, South Carolina for architecture (or "architorture" as we called it); a lot of the professors were heavily into the (...)   Re: STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

(...) I was going to order one too, but not knowing that it was about to go AWOL, I decided to go for a Metroliner instead. Grrrr! :-) Well, Brad, I'd definitely buy one if it was available again... regards, Chris. (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

  Re: New mecha: Minotaur

(...) The pictures look great, which camera did you get? (...) Lovely, this is really something (but then again you alrady know that). Sorry I can't offer more comments, but I really don't have any expertise in origami mecha. (...) So this is what (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Hotel Ambassador - (ISCC)

You are correct that the crank is for the elevator. One of those unseen but cool details. The "L" shape of the upper floors was a common practice in the early 20th century and I like the added realism it gives. Thanks for the comments! David Kohrman (...)   New mecha: Minotaur

Hi all, To celebrate my new digital camera (Santa didn't bring me one, so I splurged bigtime and went to get my own today. That means Ramen noodles and Kool-Aid for the next 6 months or so. ;-) I took some pics of the Minotaur. This is of the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: Hotel Ambassador - (ISCC)

(...) the shape of the upper floors is not a perfect square or rectangle, even though the base is. The card slots behind the receptionist are a cool detail. And can we assume that the crank hidden in the rear connects to a funtioning elevator? Cool! (...) (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

(...) They are gone, unfortunatley. I was just about to order mine and it had disapeared from lego.com. I was able to get one, however, for my local FAO Schwartz. To get one, check your local FAO or amazon.com (if they still have any). (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

New MOC: Hotel Ambassador - (ISCC)

Its been a few years since I've built any large town buildings but I'm going to build a new city layout and would like to announce my first building: the Hotel Ambassador. It is a five story fully furnished hotel with 24 guest rooms, a lobby, two (...) (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.contests) !

(URL) pictures of Dr. Carney’s 2nd largest Castle, ‘Die Wartburg,’ “at First Lutheran Church, Decatur, IL, for Reformation Sunday 2001, and the newspaper article about the castle” are now up and on his website.   Re: -AFOL Rivalries-

(...) Hit Target while you can then, as I am in PA and return on Friday nite... What an unfortunate turn of events to be drawn away on emergency work the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS... (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: New MOC: Artist's Studio Retreat (ISCC Entry)

(...) One word: Marvelous! The design is innovative, and the way you were able to capture the feel of the model and sketches in Lego is amazing. I am not a big fan of "modern" architecture, but this building is spectacular. Henry (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

Re: New MOC: Artist's Studio Retreat (ISCC Entry)

(...) Bram, Wow, what an original MOC, I like it. I don't think I've seen a MOC anything like it before. The only minor quibble I have is that the studio area could be bigger. Thanks, George (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.contests)

  STATUE OF LIBERTY ?!

Heya all ! What happened with Statue of Liberty on LEGO S&H website ??? I can't find it! It seems that it's no more available ! Where can I buy now this set ? Thanks. Rene (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.general)

New MOC: Artist's Studio Retreat (ISCC Entry)

Well, after 5 days or so, my entry still isn't up on the ISCC website, so I decided to go ahead and post the pictures on my own site. My entry is a modern architecture studio on the beach, designed in the style of architect Le Corbusier: (URL) (...)   who needs inspiration?

For all of you who like building various futuristic war machines and various four-legged mecha there is a game for the gba that has a very large amount of inspiration pieces.   Re: all my mecha

The mecha was small enough that a single ball joint was enough to hold the body up. but occasionly when the pose is extreme or too much off ballence weight is applied (...)   Re: Heckler & Koch MP5 sub-machine gun
