  Tiles (was Re: Smooth Plates)

Oops! How did I do that? Yes, I meant tiles, of course. The set 6584 has 14 1 x 6 *tiles* like I described, not plates. I must have read the subject line and got confused. (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Smooth Plates

(...) FWIW, they are often called tiles to avoid ambiguity. Just thought I'd mention it. -Tom McD. when replying, <spam><spam><spam> huh? what's wrong with my gun? (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Smooth Plates

(...) Just for the record (although I wouldn't recommend this set to anyone for any other reason :-) Set 6584 Extreme Team Challenge includes four gray 1 x 6 plates and ten yellow 1 x 6 plates with wooden board pattern. And lots of other annoying (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Perfect cubes of LEGO (-:

(...) Check out the Homemaker sets (1974-1982), as they use tiles fo the countertops and tabletops (at least in my 2 sets they do). I've seen mostly red and white..... Charles (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Perfect cubes of LEGO (-:

I realize this might not be news to many of you but bear with me. I have just realized that the smallest perfect cube that you can make out of LEGO is 16 millimeters on a side. The best way to make one is a 2 x 2 tile (part 3068) on top of a 2 x 2 (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Pat's new PodRacer...

(...) I have to admit that the engines of this ship (and pod racer) are very derivitive of the engines used on Sebulba's pod racer (in the Mos Espa Set). I did modify several things, but I can't take credit for incorperating 'those solid balloon (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.publish)

Re: Where can I buy Lego Tank Treads??

Call them, get a catalog, and order 100 bucks worth of stuff... that way you still only pay 6 bucks shipping. (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: keeping models together

(...) You could try contact cement for that. My wife has this spray-can of contact cement that she uses often when she needs to join items without leave a big mess of glue. I have no idea what affect that stuff would have on any of the plastics and (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Anybody ever built weapon replicas?

I build a lot of future military stuff, such as laser cannons, mech's, missile trucks, and the like. I just use the normal bullhorns and other Lego pieces for weapons. Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: keeping models together

(...) Does Elmer's also work for reapplying old stickers in a pretty permanent fashion? Or has somebody had success with other kinds of glue? I've asked this question myself before without response, and I believe somebody else also asked it recently (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: New N/C Machine First Cut

Toast it is!! It is painted black to give more contrast. Also, It has been tempered in the microwave to assure dryness. This toy is very finicky about what it cuts. Bob Fay Greg Majewski <citrusx__@yahoo.com> wrote in message (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  New N/C Machine First Cut

I made the first cut on my new bedmill. Not with out incident. The cutter fell out during the second letter, so the results are not stunning. I am still waiting for my rotation sensor. I am looking forward to using it on the X axis. Anyway have a (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Pat's new PodRacer...

(...) Pat, I had a peek in here after Todd posted his note on "Tell me what you think" links. I have not been very impressed with the "official" Episode 1 offerings from TLG, but do appreciate that the new parts are useful. I'm more of a Technic fan (...)
