  Another N/C Machine

I have posted a few pictures of my latest milling machine. Still waiting for a rotation sensor for x axis. Then I will try a cut on this one. (URL) Fay rfay@we.mediaone.net The Shop (URL) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Help id pieces and possible sets

I've built several sets from a second hand LEGO purchase, but I'm left with a pile of parts that are begging to be assembled into sets unknown. There are quite a few pieces here that *should* be easy to identify what sets they belong to given the (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: non- shooting shooting cannons?

(...) Hi Frank, I disassembled the cannon by pressing on the two small holes near the plunger end of the cannon and that allowed the firing mech to slide out . Take care to not push in too hard as it might damage the tabs. The plastic was obviously (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: non- shooting shooting cannons?

(...) It seems likely, I've got a bunch of these also, and it seems unlikely that every cannon which looks like a shooting cannon, that I've got from an auction lot, would be broken. (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  non- shooting shooting cannons?

Greetings Fellow Lego Fans I have a question about a cannon I just recieved from an ebay auction. It is a cannon that appears to have all the parts for shooting but the plunger wont move backwards enough to "fire"theoriticaly it came with the pirate (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Solar Power & LEGO

(...) Thanks. I just visited the Edmunds Scientic Page and they said their solar panels can be wired in series. The thing I need to know now is how many volts and how many amps is appropriate for powering the Rcx. I assume 9 volts. But is 12 volts (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Solar Power & LEGO

(...) The solar panels from Radio Shack can be wired in serial. I belive one rail is the + and the other - . (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Solar Power & LEGO

Anybody done it? I would like to incorporate solar power into lEGO and perhaps LEGO robotics. In fact, I have never used solar power (SP) for anything. I have heard that the TAMAYKO (sp?) plastic model kit from Japan has a good solar panel but it (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Does Pneumatic Suck?

Maico Arts wrote in message ... (...) But you can also make them "sucking" by mechanically pulling or pushing the piston. Their working principle is applying pressurized air to the one face of the piston, then piston goes opposite side, right*. so (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Does Pneumatic Suck?

Hello Try to get one of the early technic pneumatic sets, like the 8851 or 8843 TRhese set have a grey 4 x 2 brick with valves. This pump pushes the air through one side of the brick and sucks the out of the brick using the other valve. These (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

  Does Pneumatic Suck?

Hi Technic heads, Is it possible to build a pneumatic _SUCTION_ system using only LEGO parts? I've seen many pneumatic PUMP systems. But my goal is to have a MindStorms controlled suction system that can lift a LEGO brick (on the flat side of (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: The Construction Paper

(...) Think Diagonal. You may get a few more studs that way, not sure, depends on the width (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

  Re: Help ID pieces

(...) I don't see any other Paradisa parts. I think they must have come from multiple copies of 6552 Rocky River Retreat, but I only have enough parts to complete one of the sets. I suspect the boys I bought the LEGO from received identical sets so (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Help ID pieces

(...) 6405 Sunset Stables as well; the Paradisa pieces in both sets are obvious, I'm sure, if that's what you have. (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: The Construction Paper

(...) That's just over 38 studs - a bit tight for a decent car, which is really all I can build. I've got an (already too-short looking) El Camino standing here that would fit if I take off the rear bumper corners, I guess BTW: It's got an (...)   Re: Help ID pieces
