Anybody done it?
I would like to incorporate solar power into lEGO and perhaps LEGO robotics.
In fact, I have never used solar power (SP) for anything. I have heard that
the TAMAYKO (sp?) plastic model kit from Japan has a good solar panel but it
said only .5 volts on the package. I stopped by a Radio Shack and they had
only small solar panels and the guy did not know how much voltage it was, plus
he wasn't even sure if they could be connected in series to provide more
voltage. Can they? I noticed that KNEX has a solar power kit which looked
like a halfway decent solar panel (but no specs on box sover and I never touch
KNEX crap). I guess I will have to investigate some scientific toy catalogs
for better SP information and kits. Has anyone tried SP with LEGO?

| (...) The solar panels from Radio Shack can be wired in serial. I belive one rail is the + and the other - . (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)
