(...) I particularly like the shoulder shaping, though it's missing an important DOF (degree of freedom). (...) Here's a quick mock-up of a fuselage cross I've been planning to put on my own Bf-109 in progress. It keeps the fuselage small, and rounded. (...) The Star Wars canopy isn't entirely accurate. The BF 109's front windshield was a lot steeper then the SW canopy's is. I honestly don't think that, at this scale, a side-opening canopy is even possible. Fuselage crosses? I'd have to change the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) the same way as the original, the shape is about right, which is very hard to do. Good idea to use that Star Wars canopy.
