Re: what defines a MOC as blacktron? was: (2nd Annual Space Building Contest)

(...) *sigh* My bad <-- See I can fess up! I looked it up, it was a BT2 thing in the 1991 US/CA catalog. So not a BT1 story, per se. -Jason (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Step four! (URL) no camera, so it's LDRAW for me. Feel free to take and add onto the DAT file I made to keep track of things. benjamin (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Group Building Experiment

I'll take step four, I had already thrown together something for step three but got beaten to the punch... let me incorporate the previous bits and I'll post the next step! benjamin "Mark Nelson" <3nelsons@pressenter.com> wrote in message (...)   Re: When is a Slope not a Roof Tile? (WAS: we want....a shrubbery)

(...) Ummm... The 2xN slopes are 45 degrees. In LDraw measures, the sloped surface is 20LDU deep x 20LDU high. Of course, the 4LDU lip at the bottom of the part throws off the overall slope when you build with these pieces. The sloped surface on the (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: When is a Slope not a Roof Tile? (WAS: we want....a shrubbery)

(...) It is well known that our names are far superior to the "official" TLC names. Their names are derived from poorly translated Dutch names, based on a naming convention that fell apart after they added the 2x3 brick. Basically they just make the (...)   Re: Opinion on the Sopwith Camel?

(...) If the engine spins with the propellor, then it is a rotary engine, and it is correct, see this link for more detail, (URL) . In reality, the rotary engine packed so much torque that inexperience pilots routinely crashed flying the Camel. (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: FDNY--3rd street station

(...) My overall feeling is that sand red is on the right track, but not quite there. The pteradactyl that came with the Island hopper would be the perfect 'brick' color in my opinion. I havent yet seen the dark red bricks (aside from the pictures (...) (23 years ago, 18-Nov-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

Re: Opinion on the Sopwith Camel?

(...) Wasn't this an intentional part of the design? I had thought that the radial engines of that era rotated around a central shaft just like the model. Mike (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Ooooh, Fun! I saw this last night, but didn't respond thinking someone would pick it up before me. I guess I'll take the first go at it. :D Remember my little Whatsit probe thingy [ (URL) ]?   Re: Blacktron Competition questions

I don't think we'll worry too much about amount of pieces, really. A minifig counts as one piece, I would think. (...) Yes, particuarily if you like the model. Does it have good peices? yes, particuarily for black little 1x1 rounds with flanged ends. This set has two, they make the gun barrel ends.   Group Building Experiment

I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while now. I have no idea if this will work or not so no big deal if no one responds.
