  Re: FDNY--3rd street station

(...) My overall feeling is that sand red is on the right track, but not quite there. The pteradactyl that came with the Island hopper would be the perfect 'brick' color in my opinion. I havent yet seen the dark red bricks (aside from the pictures (...) (23 years ago, 18-Nov-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

  Re: Group Building Experiment

(...) And here ya go: (URL) that should make sense what I did there... Yeah, I wanted to get the SNOT in early, so sue me! :P Can't wait to see where this goes! OK, who's next? ---SteveR (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Opinion on the Sopwith Camel?

(...) Wasn't this an intentional part of the design? I had thought that the radial engines of that era rotated around a central shaft just like the model. Mike (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Group Building Experiment

Ooooh, Fun! I saw this last night, but didn't respond thinking someone would pick it up before me. I guess I'll take the first go at it. :D Remember my little Whatsit probe thingy [ (URL) ]? That came about because I took something that my friend (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: The Old Testament Strikes Back

(...) Hi, Lenny. Thanks for the compliments. It's always nice to be of inspiration to other builders. Round buildings are very tricky, but a fun challenge. (...) "The Reverend" is just a long-time nickname, and does not signify my position in any (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) :) To be honest I think you are way past the reality problem. If the Titan existed and it fired even a few of its cannons at the same time it will fly back in to the air. (...) Well its a thought. I have never seen it done and I will never try (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Blacktron Competition questions

I don't think we'll worry too much about amount of pieces, really. A minifig counts as one piece, I would think. If your model ends up being right around the border, then contact us and we'll decide which category it will go in. But I don't think (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Opinion on the Sopwith Camel?

(...) Yes, particuarily if you like the model. Does it have good peices? yes, particuarily for black little 1x1 rounds with flanged ends. This set has two, they make the gun barrel ends. Like the ones in the harry potter sets only not orange. Also (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Group Building Experiment

I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while now. I have no idea if this will work or not so no big deal if no one responds. I'm also not sure if others have thought of something similar to this so my apologies if I've inadvertently (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  OT: Cheap Gundam at TRU

I just picked up two deluxe transforming Gundam mechs from TRU. They were each $15 bucks although they usually retail for $30. Just thought you guys would like to know in case you wanted some extra mecha inspiration or just more toys. The packaging (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Opinion on the Sopwith Camel?

(...) Yes, yes, yes, and YES! The Sopwith Camel is a great set, and a joy to build. Adrian (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Mystery Mech spotted - OT

Ha! Well once I can figure out how to run the Vision Command under Win2k I just might have to start on one. Of course the saviour of the day will be a lance of BattleTech mocs... "Joel Jacobsen" <jacobsen@oar.net> wrote in message (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Opinion on the Sopwith Camel?

Is it worth getting? Does it have good peices? Just wanted to know before I make my Christmas list.. :-) Thanx, <<Joel>> (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: The Old Testament Strikes Back

dude, this is tre cool.. very inspirational in your building outlook.. especially in "living bricks" such as minifigs and animals. you've inspired me to build a flock of sheep, btw. most of your buildings have a simplified beauty to them, but the (...)   Blacktron Competition questions

Hi, I have a question about the Blacktron comp. How original do the entries have to be? I remember a few entries in the last comp were modified versions of real sets. Also, is a man 1 peice? and are things like Battrax wheels 1 or 2 peices? thanks! (...) (23 years ago, 18-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

  BR18 Steam Locomotive

Hi all, I finished my German BR18 Steam Locomotive this weekend, and managed to take some photos. They're posted on my Brickshelf Gallery: (URL) are a couple of interesting features on it: The engine is a 4-6-2 configuration, and the tie rods and (...)   Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. It floats my already inflated ego. ;-) But really, seeing what others have done and popular opinion only helps me (and everyone else really) do better mechs. Later Mark (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) Thank you. I shoot for that. (...) Yeppers, that's why I like em' (...) You know I have thought of this and I think it would look cool, but I have a "reality" issue with it. If the legs are moving all over the place, bouncing off of terrain, (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New mechs for your approval

Mark, Very good mecha. I would have responded earlier, but work being what it is and all...Anyway seems like you've gotten lots of feedback. I just wanted you to know that I saw them and like them (for what it's worth). Later, Bryce (...) (23 years ago, 18-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: BMW 10001 Hits

LOL! Eric you are a silly goose! ;-) Thanks for the hype. Now if I could just get pics of the riders... Oh here's a silly but true historical note for the other mecha guys: "BMW" was the working title that Eric and I gave the Cankerworm. It stands (...)
