  Help ID pieces

I just emerged from my dark ages and bought a box of LEGO with no instructions at a yard sale. I've had pretty good luck (and a lot of fun!) re-constructing most of the sets, but I have some pieces left that I can't assign to sets. Can anyone help (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Piece ID

(...) Yup, that's it. I suspected it would be a Fabuland part. (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Piece ID

I got a weird piece in a lot yesterday, one thing which will make it a tad hard to identify is it is broken. It looks like about a 4x4 rectangular tile with two studs on top. It has a brick height round column underneath which has a center tube and (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) Yeah, I don't think springs would work. Because of the scale involved, simpler is often better. Maybe you could make the dispensing mechanism like some sort of revolving door turned on its side? That was my other idea. (...) Your ASCII art was (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  piece ID

Hi- The pieces that I'm unfamiliar with came from a garage sale. They are 4x3 solid sheets in black. There is also one in transparent green. They are not plates nor tiles... but they look like some kind of door or wall... they have a nub in the (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Green Plates?

Thanks guys, you're much too kind. What I do is for the love of the brick. Scott was the first AFOL that I had ever met, since my internet access started exactly one year ago this week (on RTL). A great guy. I strongly believe in the power of the (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Design for drink machine (Was: Re: Anyone tried to build a Coke machine?)

First off, thanks for the advice, folks! (: I messed around with the Coke machine for a while but couldn't get the mechanical bits to work right. I am debating re-attempting it with a spring mechanism, but I think the springs I have are too long. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Looking for Instructions (set #480)

Hi Rufus, I have some older catalogs that may help. I have an american catalog from 1973 and a couple of british idea books/catalogs from the period when lego didn't put year of release on their material. They mention such sets as basic sets 020 (...)   Re: Anyone tried to build a Coke machine?
