"Rick Hallman" <legodude725@removeaol.com> wrote in message news:GM4Lq5.9DE@lugnet.com... (...) It's coming along nicely... in case you need some more reference pictures, here's a rather nice scratchbuilt (non-Lego) model by Dave Windham: (URL) me (...)   Re: I miss the old LUGNET...

Heh! I agree with both of you guys! BTW Larry, who made you LUGNET's policeman? You just wish you had as much creativity and talent as Eric. :-P (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: I miss the old LUGNET...

I agree with everything said here Eric, (...) Truth be told, I only saw this recently, a few weeks ago, I meant to pass on my congrats through e-mail but forgot completely, sorry. :-( (...) Amen! when I was just getting started with showing off my (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) I have several and I used them as pillars on a building. I haven't come up with another use yet. Basically, just use them as a brick. You can see how I used them with this link: (URL) is the pic called "store and toystore". Of course, feel (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Boston RedSox Minifig from cancelled promotion...

Well, they've arrived at last. As someone previously mentioned, they are quite plain, but at the same time quite charming. The printing is precisely that - not stickers and is very well done on my 2 examples. Definately a good edition to my huge (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: How to build a special roof?

Both Larry and Jacob are correct. All of the roof pieces are from 5151 Red Steep Slope Pieces, which are probably still available from Shop@Home. The arches serve as supports as the roof follows the steps of the arch bricks. These bricks are (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: How to build a special roof?

(...) This is a pic of an instance of Dan Siskind's Brickmania(tm) 002 Crossroads Tavern kit if I am not mistaken. (URL) Jacob is right. It IS "just some large half arches and 45 degree slope bricks". However they are put together in a pretty clever (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: How to build a special roof?

Zhengrong: (...) Isn't it just some large half-arches and 45 degree slope bricks? Play well, Jacob -- "Any newsgroup where software developers hang out is an Emacs newsgroup." (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: Rotary Engine Help

(...) In the Wankel engines, the cylinder is a shallow ellipse )maybe a circle) amd the piston is a triangular thing that revolves inside the cylinder. Due to the funky geometry between the cylinder and piston, you get intake, compression, power and (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
