  Re: bricks upside down

Well, for attaching arches upside down, I found that a 1/2 techic peg inserted into the arch worked well: (URL) bottom 2x6x1 arch is upside down. At the bottom of the arch is just tiles. It leaves a little space, but not much... <shameless plug> (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) I like stuff to be fixed, so just sliding in the parts isn't good enough for me. :) Upside down stuff is easiest to do in a wall that's at least 2 studs thick, in my experience. Here are some solutions that can be used in a 1 stud wide space (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) You can reduce this gap by using half-pegs instead (the ones with a stud on one end instead of another peg). This tends to be a bit loose, though. (...) That cornice design is *stunning*. Bram's right, that's a great use of obscure parts. The 1x4 tiles with 5-finger hinge are also really neat--what set did those come from in bulk? (...) I see! (...) I have used 1x1 bricks with the recessed side stud to attach groups of bricks at right angles. While I haven't tried 180 degrees - it should be doable - but may be bulky. (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Depends how big you want it. If you build a wall of just 1x2 bricks you can bend it, but the radius is pretty big. If you alternate 1x3 bricks and 1x1 round bricks though, you can build a cylinder about 6" in diameter which might be OK for (...) (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)

  Mini-mech MOC

Hi all, I haven't really delved into Mecha yet, but I made this little micro-scale mech from a couple sets on my desk at work. It turned out to a neat little Anti-Aircraft mech so I snapped a couple of shots. Sean (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Interesting

I just got the new S@H catalog and was checking out the Harry Potter stuff and noticed what looks like 2 Bionicle . . . "balls", for lack of a better term, atop the train platform. They are light grey. (23 years ago, 14-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
