(...) Jamie, It's pretty cool what they did: The LEGO trash/garbage can lids are indeed the exact same element as the 2x2 small space radar dishes. I've made a Technic Beach Buggy with independent front suspension. It is made in the Technic LEGO style, meaning that the body is not full; it is only outlined by the Technic bricks. I'm not too happy with the front windscreen and the seats, but (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) I think it's called "gabled" because it is an otherwise normal 1x2 roof piece with a gabled overhang on one side, ie a vertical triangle like a gabled roof. So that name refers to the appearance of the piece not it's actual function which is (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)
