Re: Got a letter from Susan Williams

(...) Go, Gary go! Chants of "Gary.. Gary.. Gary.." were heard throughout the land. "Gary for Lord Emperor of Time and Space" bumperstickers began springing up all over, and the coveted Gary Istok minifig commanded $75 in AucZILLA IX! ;-) (28 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Got a letter from Susan Williams

Matthew, (my first article here) This is the same crappy generic reply TLG sent me back into the 1980's. That's why I went over their heads and sent a letter to Peter Eio (then) president of TLG USA. He had the Consumers Affairs manager reply to me (...) (28 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

  pneumatics & mindstorms?

I have very little by way of pneumatic stuff; I've mostly avoided sets containing pneumatics. But it seems like there's some interesting potential when combined with Mindstorms. Has anybody made any interesting Mindstorms-controlled air-powered (...) (28 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

  Re: What's your current project?

I'm currently working on a big spaceship...certainly not the biggest out there, but probably the largest Lego project I've ever undertaken. The idea is that it's been taken over by a band of space pirates, repaired and modified beyond recognition. (...) (28 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

  I'm stuck for ideas

I usually undertake large building projects over a couple of months, and I have just finished building a 6 storey office building and I'm eager to continue building. Some other projects i've undertaken are: a rail depot, a space city, a castle (...) (28 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Set Review 6553 Crisis News Crew

(...) Well, IMHO, discussion of reviews relates directly to reviews -- more commentary basically expands upon the review. So it should probably stay in .reviews, unless the thread drifts too much. (28 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Set Review 6553 Crisis News Crew

I wonder if reviews should have their follow-ups set to lugnet.build (or lugnet.robotics, as appropriate) Or if discussions about reviews should happen here? I have cc'd this post to lugnet.build, and set the follow-ups to go there. I got this set (...) (28 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.build, lugnet.reviews)

Got a letter from Susan Williams
