  Re: Announcing: The Mecha Factory

(...) Wow Dave! It's really nice to see you back in action! You have been so quiet lately I thought you left Lugnet. That is a killer page. I love the filters you used on the wallpapers. The actual interior of the Mecha Factory is fantastic! I wish (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha - "Tortoise" Next-Generation Land Mecha

Yeah, the Heavy Gear mecha even use tank treads. I used these on my "Hunter" (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha - "Tortoise" Next-Generation Land Mecha

Never noticed the wheels on your mecha. The Heavy Gear PC game also implemented that idea. For those who don't know and are interested, here's info on the Mecha Domain's shutdown: (URL) Dickinson (URL) Pejic wrote: (cut) (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

New MOC: A6M Zero World War II Fighter

I built this plane around the landing gear. I think it's a cute little model, if nothing special: (URL) LMKWYT! --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu (URL) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

That Warhammer rocks. The presentation of it is well done. The web site also looks good. Travis Dickinson (URL) Thomas Jr." wrote: (cut) (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

HoverThing Contest - email entries and rules clarification

howD all, only entries emailed to me will be entered into the contest. sorry, but i can't check lugnet for them all :-) also, there is a typo in the RULES post: 3) canopies must open (i.e. no 'glass' that encloses the fig(s)) should say 3) canopies (...)   which set?

Hi! My son was a lego-maniac. He passed away this past March. I have been trying to rebuild his sets for one of my other kids. I have most of the directions, but I am finding that he has one boat that has no directions. I have searched lugnet for an (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.build)

In lugnet.build.mecha, David Thomas Jr. writes: (snip) (...) Absolutely! I've enjoyed your mecha for some time now. Every mecha builder has sort of a different style; yours definitely resonates with me! I love the detail on your mecha, and the way (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) but (...) Thanks Enrique/Henry! Yes, David's mecha are very, very impressive. That Warhammer too me by suprise too! Still recovering from the shock. ;- (...) Thanks a bunch! People really seem to like this colour scheme. (...) You're welcome. (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha - "Tortoise" Next-Generation Land Mecha

(...) All I can say is WOW! I've just gotten back into Lego after a long long Dark Period. I wouldn't even know where to begin to create one of these beauties, but the Tortoise (and David's Warhammer) have inspired me to give it a shot. Mladen, your (...)   Re: New Mecha - "Tortoise" Next-Generation Land Mecha

(...) What I was getting at is that I've never seen this ised on a Lego mech. It seems like such an obvious thing, but I've been oblivious to it until now. -Dave (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha - "Tortoise" Next-Generation Land Mecha

(...) ;-) (...) Thanks Dave! Yes, those are wheels! They actually prevent the legs from sliding to the sides, but their "real" purpose is to help the mecha navigate through tight urban areas. I also imagine they would increase the land speed too, (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha - "Tortoise" Next-Generation Land Mecha

Okay, Mladen....cut it out...quite making the rest of us feel like slackers. ;-) I like the bulked up design on Tortoise. It makes Azriel look tiny in comparison. I have to agree with the comment that the blue and tan look fabulous-especially when (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Announcing: The Mecha Factory

I forgot to mention just how much I love the way you detailed everthing to look like it's in nanofig scale. The 'stairway' and passageway to the right of the mecha do so much to reinforce the scale that you work at. Fantastic! -Dave (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Announcing: The Mecha Factory

(...) David, this is a fantastic looking site! I love the design. It doesn't surprise me that Sun would let you use the name, he's a stand-up kinda' guy!   Re: Announcing: The Mecha Factory

WOW! Simply amazing Dave. The "Warhammer" redefines micro-fig bipedal mecha. It's so beautiful; excellent work! I love the new mecha site. The stylized images remind of the comic-book story boards seen in Max Payne (PC game). Very, very cool... (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

As I told you yesterday, sawweeeet! I really like the cannons, er, grenade launchers... And it's quite spiffy how they can be removed! Another Mladen beauty! (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Announcing: The Mecha Factory

Holly kookamundo! Very, very, very nice models. That new one is just amazing! Is it supposed to to be microfig scale? Some of the equipment around it looks like it... The diarama and site rock too! It's nice to see some of your older stuff again too (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Announcing: The Mecha Factory

That's some really fine work, David. The presentation of the site's quite nice too. I don't really like the images opening up in a separate window, but that's a personal preference on my part. Otherwise, fabulous mecha! Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
