  pneumatics & mindstorms?

I have very little by way of pneumatic stuff; I've mostly avoided sets containing pneumatics. But it seems like there's some interesting potential when combined with Mindstorms. Has anybody made any interesting Mindstorms-controlled air-powered (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

  Re: What's your current project?

I'm currently working on a big spaceship...certainly not the biggest out there, but probably the largest Lego project I've ever undertaken. The idea is that it's been taken over by a band of space pirates, repaired and modified beyond recognition. (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

  I'm stuck for ideas

I usually undertake large building projects over a couple of months, and I have just finished building a 6 storey office building and I'm eager to continue building. Some other projects i've undertaken are: a rail depot, a space city, a castle (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Set Review 6553 Crisis News Crew

(...) Well, IMHO, discussion of reviews relates directly to reviews -- more commentary basically expands upon the review. So it should probably stay in .reviews, unless the thread drifts too much. (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Set Review 6553 Crisis News Crew

I wonder if reviews should have their follow-ups set to lugnet.build (or lugnet.robotics, as appropriate) Or if discussions about reviews should happen here? I have cc'd this post to lugnet.build, and set the follow-ups to go there. I got this set (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.build, lugnet.reviews)

(...) True, that is a limitation. And somehow I have the feeling that my plans will automatically grow to encompass whatever number of sensors and motors I own. (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

  Re: removable rcx

I have tried that plan but in order to get any strength built-in to my robot I have to get the motors and sensors embedded into the robot or everything just falls off at the first touch.   removable rcx

Not anything profound here, but just a musing: Next time I build a robot, I'm going to make it so the RCX and sensors are easily removed, so I can leave the basic design together and yet move the brain to another creation. (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)
