  Re: A nice summer surprise

(...) Heh. Well, all I can say is that I've been overwhelmingly delighted with MegaBloks sets over the past five years, and overwhelmingly disappointed with LEGO during that same time frame (with the notable and commendable exceptions of some of the (...)   Re: A nice summer surprise

(...) Nothing wrong with an anti-clone statement here. After all, this is the LEGO® Users Group Network. I woundn't expect a Republican to campaign at a Democrat convention anyway (to cite a parallel) Clone bricks are the ENEMY here, they undermine (...)   Re: lugnet.space.mecha?

(...) At least my momma don't dress me up in yo' momma's combat boots. And you're so ugly, yo mamma had to tie a pork chop to yo neck just to get the dawg to play with ya. Cheers, - jsproat (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: lugnet.space.mecha?

(...) I'll chime in with Jeremy on this one. I'm happy with it where it's at. What's really important is that we talk at all anyway, so its not a big deal WHERE in the hierarchy the group is. If you feel that your mech has an overally space-y (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

  Re: When Bricks Go Bad!

(...) I'll check at home; I have a box of damaged parts that I should be able to photo or scan, although it may be a bit - I'm swamped right now. Examples I should be able to provide would be broken or cracked plates, stress marks from bending (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: A nice summer surprise

(...) -Harvey My collection has a (very) few megabloks :-( They're still white and I know why. *WARNING: ANTI-CLONE STATEMENT* Even the dirt and dust won't touch it :) (23 years ago, 13-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: lugnet.space.mecha?

(...) I would dislike this for several reasons: 1. The current schema is more appropriate... .space is for the "official" space theme, and .build.mecha tends to focus more on MOC building techniques (joint design, etc.) 2. Far more flamewars erupt (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

  Re: New bike...

(...) The Pounce turned out to be 18 studs long when I finished it. It's designed to be a smaller... almost scooter-like bike. Definitely marketed toward those who can't afford a larger more powerful one. : ) Todd Trotter (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Jain's Guide still lives

...I am really trying to work on Jain's Guide more (jains.has.it or www.wildlink.com/lego/jain)! :-) Jain's is intended as a central link out to the best in LEGO Space military hardware and battles, from mecha MOCs to stories about LEGO Spaceships (...)   Re: LEGO Mosaic: San Francisco

Well, as detailed on the NY mosaic page, that piece of composite art was provided to me by the LEGO graphic artist. Why certain buildings were included or not was up to him. I picked the particular San Fran shot of the Victorian homes because it is (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: GATS Church - better pictures

I didn't take the time to do that for these pictures because I was borrowing a (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Re: LEGO Mosaic: San Francisco

Funny that you should ask this... I was wondering myself. I am at work, and just walked from my cubicle to the water fountain to fill my water jar, and in another person's cubicle, I saw a San Francisco post card with the exact same scene as Eric's (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: LEGO Mosaic: San Francisco

Having not been able to attend Brickfest myself, I had yet to see this amazing work of art. Couple quick questions, though. Having recently visited LEGOLAND, I'm curious. Did any of the landmarks built in the San Fran (or New York, for that matter) (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)
