(...) I can cite the pristine TYCO Superblocks in my collection dating from at least the time of your bricks, while formerly white LEGO bricks from the same period are a gentle shade of urine.   A nice summer surprise

This may be CDS (Compartment Dork Syndrome) but here goes... My family has just returned from up north and they brought back...a huge tub of LEGO®!!! Actually they had gotten it from an aunt who had stored them for 7-8 years. Upon going through the (...)   Re: Use found for Timmy! Hoorah!

(...) These are pretty clever and quite simple too. If I had the heart to take an exacto to my Lego, I'd seriously consider some of these (especially scraping those darn microphones off all the minifig heads!) Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Building my first Mecha with an RCX - advice please?

(...) Thanks - let's wait and see how I go. (...) I guess that primarily two of the motors would handle the legs or wheels for direction. Next I'd have at least one motor to raise or lower arms. Of course I hadn't forgotten the head - so I'd use a (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) I haven't fought with it yet, but I imagine a Lego Toro would have a harder time beating it than the real thing did. (...) Very cool. (...) I'd think bi-pedal would be a tough thing, dealing with balance and all. 3+ legs would help, if you really want it to walk. I'm not a huge fan of wheels, how about tank treads?   Building my first Mecha with an RCX - advice please?
