Re: New Micro-Fig Mecha - "White Rabbit"

(...) Never thought about using the "metal detector piece thingy-bob" like that...it's kewl. (...) Yeah, I have this problem w/ my small ones too...they have so much back gear that they fall over. I usually remedy this by giving the mech extra-big (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Micro-Fig Mecha - "White Rabbit"

(...) Thanks Chris! I'm glad you like the bent B-ENT staff, hehe... ;-) (...) Yeah, most of my mecha do. They look like this cause I bend the knees, to show that they do indeed have some articulation. Also the radome and thruster really make the (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha at Brickfest?

Chris, we Mech guys have been kicking around the Idea of going next year because we just can'y make it this year. We already have some ideas about doing somthing simular to what you have suggested. Since Some of us just can't make it this year, (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jun-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Mecha at Brickfest?

Hey all, I was wondering who all from the .build.mecha corner of lugnet is gonna be at the fest. I've got a bunch of minimechs (shameless plug here: (URL) ), most of whom will be making it to the fest for display, along with a few other newer ones. (...)   Re: New Micro-Fig Mecha - "White Rabbit"

(...) And the B-ENT staff is innovative. I like da feet too. He does look kinda back-heavy tho...if bumped a bit from the front, it looks like it'd fall over. -Chris (23 years ago, 19-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Ancient Art Of Technic Skeleton (Was Re: Building big)

(...) However, the big star-wars sets, the X-Wing and the Tie-Fighter come with an incredibly nifty Technic block. The 4*4 Technic 'Square' is fantastic for all sorts of designs, and makes for an awesome anchor to build the rest of your model (...) That looks great. I like the use of the pink stairs and the Belville arches. It looks really pleasant! Heather Patey <hpatey@nfld.com> wrote in message news:GF4yGx.Dpo@lugnet.com... (...) welcome. (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: switching arms

(...) Good question. I've had similar problems. Unfortunately, the only pointer I've got is to only switch arms when necessary. :( Or insert small slips of paper between the arm-knob and the torso's arm-hole, to make a tighter fit. Steve (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Hedge Maze

(...) Mercy buckets. I do seem to be on a productive upswing, especially compared to the past winter... and now that James P is gone, I'm all alone on a deserted island with only you lot to share with. I'm not even going to get a business trip off (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Hedge Maze

(...) I figured out a way around this when doing a prototype: Put two antennas on the base plate _between studs_, with two studs' worth of space between them. Put a technic plate over them and press down hard. The ends of the technic plate should (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Oh, I didn't notice it was X-posted to there, I'm not very good at that type of stuff :-P (...) Yep, I connected all the 1x16 beams with 1x6 beams.   Re: Hedge Maze

(...) Cool. The only hitch I see (aside from probably not having enough shrubbery) is that I've found putting shrubs that close together tends to not work well. They want to pop off the baseplate. :/ But that doesn't stop an ldrawn version from (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)
