  Mecha designs at BrickFest 2001

...Are any mecha builders planning on making it to BrickFest 2001 and/or are you bringing your mecha? Apart from great looking BrickWars games, I would think a display table of mecha creations would be real cool! ...And while I know Christina will (...)   Re: Steampunk: The Mean Tine

High velocity gravity! Hah! That's a nifty little model. Steampunk is definitely an underdeveloped theme. I'd love to see someone tackle a technic version of the spider-mech from Wild Wild West.   Re: The BrickTopia Royal Palace

(...) Very cool, I like the color scheme and the angled walls in front. I thought the burbs used inside were a little odd. Overall a very neat combination of castle and your own architectural style. Keep up the amazing work. -Jason (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: New sculpture: Geoffrey the Giraffe

I forgot to mention this, but this sculpture will be on display at my local Toys'R'Us on June 23rd from 1-3, as a test to see if they want to buy it, in which case it'll be permanently installed at that location. It's the TRU in North Olmstead, OH. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  Re: Steampunk: The Mean Tine

Nice Job Evil Wayne! As a fellow fan of all things Steampunkish, I appreciate the look captured by Mean Time. I especially like the look of the boiler. I've allways planned on posting Steampunk/Gaslight Fantasy items over in Adventurers. No one (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: New Render

[FUT cad.ray] (...) Here's a color file I made based on Anton Raves' color definitions: (URL) works quite well, IMO. To use it, include the following line after the QUAL definition in the L3P'd POV file: #include "legocolors.inc" HTH, --Bram Bram (...)   Re: New sculpture: Geoffrey the Giraffe

(...) Well, they haven't supplied me with any bricks quite yet. I had bought the bricks with my own funds before they'd requested the sculpture. If they decide they can handle the price, they will pay me for the sculpture, at which time I'll glue it (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New sculpture: Geoffrey the Giraffe

(...) Cool. The construction shots are very informative So, can we ask: Did TRU provide the bricks for this? Or was it a commissioned sculpture? I think it's pretty nifty that the sculpture area is blossoming with several artists (and at least one (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

  The BrickTopia Royal Palace

BrickTopia is a modern city, but the mayor wanted to create something a little more old-fashioned for his residence. The resulting building is part fortress, part palace, and part modern high-rise.   Re: Bionicle Ostrich

(...) Wow. I was looking at the "bionicle" minifigs. Pretty neat, but isn't Tahu supposed to be oldest? Pohatu looks as old as the island! In the game, he is portrayed as a "hyper soccer player like person". In my mind, he is a "hyper soccer player (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.build)
