Re: Sighthound Recon: MOC for non-violent space contest

(...) That is frigging awesome! Everything from the site design to the ship design is perfect. I love it!! You should really do that little anime comic strip. Thanks Jay Jacinto (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Sighthound Recon: MOC for non-violent space contest

  "Full-sized" Star Wars LEGO models

Have you guys seen this? "...each [winner] received a family trip to LEGO's Denmark headquarters as well as a full-sized Star Wars LEGO model of their choice, autographed by George Lucas. " (URL) can't get a good idea of size/scale from the photos - (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general)

  Re: SW-something switcher

(...) Looks good as it is, your addition of handrails on the rear of the cab is the first I've seen among SW-type builders. I believe that 8 wide is the best way to portray American railroad equipment.-Harvey (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Minifig scale Pyramid

Having just returned from vacation in Egypt, combined with the availability of bulk tan bricks, I thinking about building a minifig scale model of the Giza plateau. Then I figured it would take nearly 9 million 4x2 bricks to build a solid model of (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

  SW-something switcher

Here is the most complete version of my SW series switcher... It started out as a SW1200 but I think I deviated from that design a bit. (URL) isn't the finished product yet but I am running into a problem. Just before the cab there is part of the (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: Chris Snead

(...) Your stuff is incredible! I built a pneumatic hand once, but jeeze, a whole torso? All you have to do now is work out a gyroscopic stabilization system and some legs, and you can give Honda's P2 a run for it's money ! ;-) (...) Oh, Cepheus (...)   Re: Chris Snead

(...) Thanks for the kind words. I have this folder of your mech renderings - I've been admiring this stuff for a while. Everytime I get stuck when trying to make a head, I check out your site for ideas. Hope you don't mind... (...) A website is on (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Chris Snead

Wow, this has gotta be the most posable Mech I ever saw (or heard about) your on for dinner! I like BBQ! Seeing IRL will be a great thing! Somthing I intend to happen, after I save a little! C-ya Eric (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Chris Snead

WOW! Why didn't I find out about this before. I've seen those pictures of your mecha, and I was IMPRESSED, but I didn't know that the Cepheus had clicking-joints. Any chance of a small set of pictures explaining how this works... Actually, you (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Chris Snead

Right on, build as you can, Hey my stuff took a long time too, so I know where your comming from, I guess it's almost enough for me to know that someone is out there doing this. So I'll wait. Keep at it, Cepheus came out great. So I of course look (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Neo-Oz Update: First glimpses of the new Gundam. It' HUGE!

(...) Whoa, I just totally freaked out! I've got a Wing Gundam about half done, and I just saw "Gundam" and "Oz" in the same sentence. Then you have all the After Colony dates in there, but it looks like you gundam was built after Endless Waltz. (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Technic "Ball and Axle" part question.

Does anyone know all the different sizes of the Technic “ball and axle” parts seen in the Star Wars Technic “Stormtrooper” and “C3PO”? I am making some “home made” versions of these parts and I need to know the different lengths of the axles. Also, (...)   Re: Chris Snead

Eric, I can't tell you enough about how awesome Chris' mecha is! All the joints "click" into place like a big 360 degree click hing. It's like a big toy. We had it set up on its knees with its hands raised up like Defoe (sp) in Platoon! You just (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) make a gundam-like mech; but, as soon as I finished the arm, I thought "Terminator". One thing about Cepheus that is hard to tell in the pictures is how its click-stop joint mechanism works. People seem to like it alot, which pleased me, (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Chris Snead

Chris, I heard lots of good things about Cephus. Plus in the Lugola pix I can see that the Mech is alot bigger than I thought! Right on for making it down there for the meeting.   What has Brian Cooper been up to?

Hey K, what are you up to? I've been slacking on keeping up with things. So I'd like to know what you are up to these days? What are you building or intending to build? Thanks - Curiously - Eric (23 years ago, 3-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
