  Re: Custom Pirate Fig site

(...) Look carefully at the edge of some of the coats - very thin. Probably paper or some kind of material. Others possibly could be plastic "clay" (Sculpey and the like). I'd guess a variety of techniques, but the picture quality and size is not (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Lockers as mailboxes?

(...) Oh that's just great. Some innocent minifig tries to check his mailbox and... BOOM! A missile straight into his little hollow head. -- dataAndrew (URL) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: Erasing minifigs

(...) Toothpaste seems to work also. Supposedly Tarter Control Toothpaste has more abrasive in it so it works better, I still have some work to finish one the one soccer fig I am removing the '1' from the back of.   Re: Custom Pirate Fig site

Thanks for pointing those out Bruce. Some of the hats and vests had the same "shine" as the ABS. Do you think the creator did some plastic molding type of work? Those are some pretty incredible designs. Markus (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Pokemon Lego sculpture

(...) To clarify: I mean that the photo doesn't show his curves very well. He is actually a lot more curved than that, but the photo was not from the best angle. --Bill. (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Pokemon Lego sculpture

(...) Of course they're blocky - they're made entirely of LEGO bricks. Bulbasaur isn't quite as square in the flesh, as it were. I don't agree about the red spot - where have you seen that? See my comment below about the colors. (...) The stripes (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New Sculpture/Mosaic: Cleveland Indians Mascot

To be honest, I don't know. I used a bunch of bricks from my already-sorted collection. I did the math and figured out that if you use 1xn bricks doubled up (I used all 2xn bricks except for 1x2's) you could accomplish a similar sculpture using, I (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Classic Space style Space Shuttle MOC

(...) Is this where I plead the fifth amendment? No, seriously, though, I keep trying to do silly stuff like build lockers using car doors. I just never think of "open downward" as opposed to "open sideways". -JDF (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)
