  Re: Pokemon Lego sculpture

Not too badly done. But they seem to have come out quite blocky. I had no idea Bulbasur's body was that square. :-) Also, he should have a little red spot on the top of his flower. I'm also quite sure Pikachu's stripes on his back are the same color (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: huge japanese page of small mecha

It appears our japanese genius is still active. I just checked back at his page and he has 3 links at the top, one for his top page, one for a bbs (common on japanese websites) and a "lego-top-test" (here (URL) )which contains an index of links, (...)   Re: new model

Thanks, Geordan. The 1x1 circles combined with the droid torsos are jump jets. The idea popped into mind after I messed with the torsos for awhile. Travis Dickinson (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Thanks, Kyle. Seems the color scheme is a big hit. Travis Dickinson (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: new model

Glad you like them. I agree with you about Jeremy's mecha. I built the A91 the other night, and even with an patchwork color scheme, it looks wicked. Travis Dickinson (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: new model

great work! It looks so awesome! I really like the colour scheme you chose for and the amount of detail is sweet. are the 1x1 circles on his back jump jets??? The model looks really cool and i like the way you mounted the beamsaber on it's arm. The (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: new model

Thanks. The model can be built in those colors in real life. Sorry about the link. I'm trying to keep my hit counter as accurate as possible. Are you trying to get the kid hook on legos as soon as you can? :) Travis Dickinson (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: new model

Nice! I love the bulky look! And the color scheme is very nice too. All the new mini-mecha coming out recently are just stunning. All that detail in such a small package! Build on! (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: new model

(...) is very military and works well with the Golem name. The light saber on the arm is a nice touch. BTW this link is a little more direct (helps when trying to hold a 5 month old) (URL) your Ultimate Weapon still rocks! Bryce (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: new model

Looks great! It's definitely more beefed up than Jeremy's mecha (not that Jeremy's mecha even need to be "beefed up"; they're scary as is!). BTW I like the third colour scheme you gave to the "Dark Nemesis", looks good! (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  RE: Lego color reference

(...) I have created a POV file which replaces the L3P colors with colors based on Anton Raves' definitions, which are pretty good (with the matching texture, and depending on the lighting, of course). There's a copy here: (URL) values differ from (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Lego color reference

Hi, There was a discussion a while back regarding accurate colors with the LEGO CAD utilities. The default colors that they come with aren't quite right. Someone had an include file that provided the "true" RGB colors of LEGO bricks. I don't know (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)

  new model

With all the mini-mecha showing up recently, I was inspired to try my hand at one this past weekend. Further commentary can be found on the "Golem" page. LMKWYT. Travis Dickinson (URL) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Building habits

(...) If you're going to sort them, DON'T do it by color. It's the most obvious choice, but it's a bad idea. Sort by size and type instead. Think of it this way: Say you want a blue 1x4 brick. Would you rather dig through a pile of blue bricks, or a (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.storage)

  Pokemon Lego sculpture

I built these models a couple of months ago, but I've been dragging my feet about getting pictures on the web. However, I brought them to the BayLUG meeting this past weekend, and as a result pictures of them have made it onto the club website. To (...)
