  Cyclone ride armor

Well, after seeing the posts in .mecha recently from others that have made Cyclone ride armor from Mospeda/Robotech:New Generation, I wanted to give it a go myself. (URL) is what I came up with. :) Sadly, though I tried, I wasn't able to determine a (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Building habits

(...) I tend to work on Lego ships for weeks and in some cases months until I am completely satisfied with it. Then I rebuild it in MLCAD, will do some experimentation with different color schemes, create picture instructions, rendings in various (...)   Re: BLAST debut

(...) Thanks for your comments. As I said to Paul, I am seriously considering adding thumbs as well as some other small changes, but overall the sight will remain much as it is now. As for your question where I will go from here? The answer: More (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

(...) Thanks Joel, it did take me a while to create BLAST, but that is mostly because it is my first website, so there was the inevitable learning curve. (...) The Armadillo seems to be another popular design, which is interesting, considering is (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

(...) Thanks Kyle, I am quite partial to mecha myself and I have a feeling most of my Lugnet time will be spent at .mecha. I checked out your site, very nice, the pop up thumbnails are very cool. On the model side, I liked the Glencoe Omni-Mech (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

(...) Thanks Bryce, as I mentioned in some of my other posts I am going to attempt to address the difficulty in accessing the images as well as consider adding thumbs. (...)   Re: BLAST debut

(...) Thanks Greg, I have to tell you I’m not big on futuristic space stuff, I prefer a near future military theme, you know, no lasers or anti gravity stuff. So unfortunately I don’t know how much more space stuff will be added to BLAST. But then (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

(...) Thanks for your kind comments Shaun. To be honest, the Armadillo was just thrown together as a quick experiment to see how small I could make a power suit. I suppose considering is small size it turned out pretty well. As for the Raven, it was (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

(...) Thanks for your comments Nathan. The Raven seems to be fairly popular, I’m glad you liked it, I am quite fond of it my self. As for you not reading the info on the models, I understand. I rarely read other peoples model info myself, I think in (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Thanks for your comments Paul. I am going to attempt to address the difficulty in getting to the images. As for the lack of thumbs, your the first one to call me on it and rightfully so. I am seriously considering adding thumbs, but right now (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do you build every set you buy?

For me it depends on the set. For sets I really like, I'll build them for a while, but I usually can't wait to cannibalize them for parts. A lot of times, I dislike the set and am just buying it (often many copies) for parts. For example, I have 12 (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Building habits

Hmm, my building habits are.... Right now I'm primarily in sorting mode. Unfortunately unless something happens to really make me stop buying it may be a while before I get caught up (though I am slowly catching up). I have done some building (...)   Lego Ninja Theme Chess Set

It was a fairly obvious idea but one I had to make and it was a lot of fun making the set. Thank god for bulk purchases of the B&W tiles 2x2 from LD. And some timely purchases of blue slope 45 2x2s. LMKWYT ! (URL) most fun of course was the rook (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.build, lugnet.fun) !!

  Re: Building habits

I have a tendency to let the models I build accumulate, until I reach the point where I can't bear to see all the pieces that are unavailable. Then I tear apart practiaclly everything, except a few of my particular favorites... of course I'll even (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

That's awesome Dan, you definitly have the touch on your carriers. They keep sneaking up on me. The exterior detailing is absoulutely incredible. Well done once again. I love the burp usage btw.   Re: Do you build every set you buy?

I have almost the same problem in reverse. Once I've built a set using the instructions, I have a really hard time taking it apart. It will stay assembled for weeks before I can make myself tear it apart. Also, I have an odd compulsion to position (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Building habits

(...) Hehe.. that's cool. Though that does require the procurement of more bricks. Something that is a bit costly to me. Right now I'm in the "hey... I've been acquiring bricks for the last 3 years and now that I have space to build, let's see just (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Do you build every set you buy?

Ever since my little-kid days I have always felt a need to build the set using the instructions at least once, even if it's a really dumb one that I just bought for the parts. But lately I've started buying more than one of some sets, and am (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)
