  Re: Building habits

(...) That's me. I've got diddly squat for display area, so the vast majority of what I build (especially big stuff) comes apart when I'm done. Currently built is... umm... James Jesiman Memorial Park, and the watertower behind it. (URL) my Colonial (...) (24 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC 1966 Chevelle

(...) I think this rocks. Rocks Hard. Brings back memories of my 67 Impala... 2 door coupe, tiny mag wheels (it was "low" although I didn't know what low riders were) 2 speed slush box tranny, tiny steering wheel, fuzzy dice and all that I caused a (...)   RE: Building habits

(...) I agree, although I usually try to put that phase off as long as possible now that I have a digital camera. I cannibalize models when I need the parts, until at some point my models get too dusty (ie, up to two years :P). Then I tear them (...)   Re: Building habits

Good question! (...) You left out: Build, copy with improvements using another set of pieces, cycle till you are happy, then keep the final iteration together "indefinitely" That's me. I have everything I've ever built that was any good (and some (...) (24 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Building habits

I guess I fall into the "Build, photograph and tear down to build anew" category. Putting ones MOCs into .DAT file format greatly eases the heartbreak of having to destroy ones models for future creations. Or so I think... ;-) (...)   Re: Building habits

Well, I build stuff then keep them built as long as posible untill I need the parts for a new MOC. I often just take off the parts I need, leaving the model all messed up so I eventually just go ahead and disassemble the rest. I currently only have (...) (24 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Building habits

After looking once more at Dan Jassim's latest minifig carrier, a question came to mind I wanted to ask him but it could also be posed to everyone. Just to satisfy my curiousity, of course. :) (To Dan) Did you have to tear down your original carrier (...) (24 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

BTW, I definitley plan to attend the next TennLUG meeting, I wish I could have made the last one, but I had plans for that weekend before the meeting was (...)   Re: How to get apart that structure?

(...) tough, (...) Putting it together isn't all that bad, you push the 3L axles in as the LAST step...at least on one side. Taking it apart would be much more of a challenge... James (24 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

  Re: Tips on building

(...) Jason, I'm not an 'expert' on mecha - I haven't actually built one yet - but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night... ;) As for tips, I can't remember which site it was (anyone? anyone?) but one of them had an 'exploded' view of the (...)   Re: New: Stickfig-scale mecha wallpaper

(...) You can see a side stud of that one poke downwards in this view: (URL) above that is the 1x1 technic brick on its side. The 1x1 brick headlight is on its back somewhere behind the 5-stud. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: WH40K Dreadnought

  Re: New: Stickfig-scale mecha wallpaper

  Re: New: Stickfig-scale mecha wallpaper

  Re: New: Stickfig-scale mecha wallpaper

(...) That's some awesome work, Mr. Sproat. :) I don't suppose it would be possible to make some sort of an 'exploded' view of your attack copters?
