That's some awesome work, Mr. Sproat. :)

Why, thank you Mr. Jacobsen. :-,

I don't suppose it would be possible to make some sort of an 'exploded' view
of your attack copters? For those of us not using modeling programs... :)

I almost have the explostion scene ready....just need some more gasoline...  ;-)

I think I understand most of what you did but there are a few areas around
the wings/engines that have me stumped as far as how you got the SNOT to
mate with SOT sections. :)

I can do that.  I'd actually like to do that with all my models, but it can
get real time-intensive.  Lemme think about the best approach; time's a
little tight at home right now and I can't really do the CAD stuff at work.

I can tell you now, the only SNOTs I used in the transition area (between
the wings, where the "studs-mostly-point-up tail section" mates with the
"studs-mostly-point-forward fusalage section") are a <part:4733> 1x1 brick
with 5 studs, a <part:4070> 1x1 brick headlight, and a <part:6541> 1x1
technic brick.  All three of these bricks are in the "top-studs-point
forward" orientation.

A <part:3700> 1x2 technic brick with 1 hole was used for the base of the
rotor assembly, but doesn't actually contribute to the transition.

Cheers,
- jsproat

I figured you had a 5 stud brick in there someplace but I couldn't quite
picture it. I think I can take that info and sort it out from there.

Thankya!

(...) You can see a side stud of that one poke downwards in this view: (URL) above that is the 1x1 technic brick on its side. The 1x1 brick headlight is on its back somewhere behind the 5-stud. Cheers, - jsproat (23 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
