  Re: Lego Mechspo

(...) I'm torn here. I agree that Lego should in some ways "bite the bullet" and just admit what we all know anyway and make some mechs. However part of me likes that Lego doesn't do mecha. I like pushing the limits in an area/theme that Lego has (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: updated pellet gun site, new site design

(...) I have two items about your site. 1) I have an extreme discomfort of the use of a children's plaything meant to be peaceful to fire pontentialy harmful projectiles, But, I won't rant on that forever. 2)You have no disclaimer on your site. I (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

I like the new design,of the web site and the grip on the pistol. Gary geordan ballantree <geordanh@yahoo.ca> wrote in message news:GAGK90.E6K@lugnet.com... (...) also (...) better (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Sets for mecha/space parts

(...) Hinges <set:7311 Red Planet Cruiser> and <set:7127 Imperial AT-ST> have a bunch of clicky-hinges, including the new round ones. <set:6474 Wheeled Front Shovel> also has some interesting click-hinge parts, including a bucket and a hook.   Re: Different/exchanged heads

(...) I like my rank-and-file shako-wearing soldiers to have smiley faces. There's something surreal about it that appeals to me. Pirates, on the other hand, never get classic smileys. Hey, if you wanted to be an individualist, ya shouldn't have (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Lego Mechspo

(...) I agree with you. I think LEGO is rationalizing it by calling their weapons "tools" which they apparently use to help them get around their native lands... or something. Whatever. We all know they're fighting robot things, so why not bite the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Lego Mechspo

(...) I would have agreed with this, if it weren't for Bionicles. These aren't pacifist machines. They look like the result of some marketing study that concluded "kids like fighting robots". There are other new products in their line up with the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Lego Mechspo

(...) I like train displays, though a technology that's more than a century old is, well, quaint. Mecha represent a technology that has yet to be made real, but probably will be in this century. It has another century to go before it becomes (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Scorpion M-01A Light Assault Mech

Looks great Rick! Is this your first mecha? If it is, than excellent first try, most people have to fiddle long before they come up with something cool. BTW the legs are very derivative of the legs on my Spidertank, which I built (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
