(...) Heh...what the pictures don't convey is how loud and annoying the motor sounds when it's spinning the fiberoptics. BTW, the motor is a gray 4 x 5 x 2.33 stud box with an axle sticking out one of the 4 x 2.33 ends. The electrical contacts are (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) Actually the payload doors do open and close. I have a few shots of them open while the orbiter was under construction.
