Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

Wow. I love everything about it- it looks really powerful in an odd demented sorta way. I just LOVE all the details. You should make a transport version that utilizes that big interior space left when weapons are removed. "You may notice the support (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

dude, that is friggin' COOL! i love the humor in this: you used a turkey, of all animals, to emulate. however, you put so much thought, time, and detail in it, it almost looks like a serious mech. a nice change of pace as far as mechs go. i laughed (...)   Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) Hehe, yep. When Jon posted that piece as the seed part, I thought of using it as a hatch cover. Then, when the turkey idea was formulated, I realized that they would make nifty missile covers. In fact, after the basic shape of the mech and the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) That's quite a reaction. (...) It's the beady little eyes and the cocked head, isn't it. It's like the turkey's saying "what, I'm a horrific weapon of mass destruction?   Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) Thanks for clarifying this and a big thanks for telling me how names like that are made. I kind of figured there was a Sci-Fi connection somwhere that I've missed being Mech-handicapped. /Tobbe (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

I like it! its not exactly what youd expect but thats what makes it cool i think. i like how you did the back of it, and the shape is really good to. does it stand up wothout the stand you have in the pictures? -baz (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) Yes, it is self-supporting without the stand. However, the center of mass is rather far forward when it's in regular turkey mode, so it sort of leans over a bit (the shock absorber in the leg is actually slightly weight bearing, so it deforms (...)   Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

Adrian, Incredi-gobble! What's cool is that it looks both formidable and goofy at the same time. The true strength of this weapon, I believe, is that as it approaches the target evil-doer vessel, the bad guy occupants inside roll on the floor (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
