Removing the White Meat Missiles and the side hatch weaponry would open up a
lot of space, yeah. The only internal place where there actually NEEDS to
be anything is in the center where the cockpit is, and the bottom rear
portion where the engines are. Thankfully, the turkey shape provides a
great deal of internal space :)

Hey, the press release had to explain it somehow. And yes, the turkey can
stand on its own, it is just a little front heavy so it puts some odd forces
on the legs. It's much more stable as a tripod design.
