New Vehicles on Brickshelf —William Toenjes
Greetings, Now that I have my LEGO-dedicated half of the basement rec room and see a light at the end of my seemingly endless parts sorting I've actually been building! I just posted my recently completed 1920's Fire Engine inspired by the 1929 (...) (22 years ago, 2-Mar-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town) !!

Re: New Vehicles on Brickshelf —Allan Bedford
(...) The shape of the body is wonderful. The unusual angle used for the front fenders is brilliant. (...) I used the shoe string technique a while back on a larger scale engine. I ended up using Technic connectors (1/2 grey) as nozzles. (...) (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: New Vehicles on Brickshelf —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I'm not a big fan of mee toooo but I gotta say me too! We've seen a number of trucks of this era or just before it that used plate hinges for front fenders but never this use of the quarter round part I don't think. It's a bit thick but you (...)      (...) Cool! That would put it at about miniland scale, or as I like to call it-- 8 wide....gauge:-) JOHN (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: New Vehicles on Brickshelf —Joe Meno
(...) I did! And I really like the fire engine..the detailing throughout is outstanding! Things like the fairings and pipe make the truck come alive. Great job! Joe Meno (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: New Vehicles on Brickshelf —George Haberberger
(...) to see TLC release something similar. Maybe Adventurers needs a fire engine? Thanks, George (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: New Vehicles on Brickshelf —William Toenjes
(...) Thanks George, I really wish LEGO came out with the Car Base 4 x 5 with 2 Seats (URL) red, white, black, oh heck, the whole LEGO palette. I think I'm gonna try to make a second copy paring it down to the least amount of parts and no modified (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.town)
