An enhanced model of the 6806 Surface Hopper, the Deep Space Hopper has enough oomph for orbital and, sometimes, deep-space missions. It includes a headrest for those extra-long flights, and a windscreen to ward off some of those pesky space-bugs. A set of lasers on the nose serve as a point-defense system to eliminate potential collisions with space trash such as fast-food wrappers, fender-bender debris and septic dumps.

Surface Hopper pilots view the Deep Space Hopper with longing. Before being issued a Deep Space Hopper, the trainees must demonstrate considerable skill in piloting a Surface Hopper. This can take quite awhile. During training, the rookies sometimes get a little carried away:

For those War Dawgz fans out there, here’s my proposed spinoff. Nutting is promoted to Commander and has to train a group of rookies in the art of Surface Hopper and Deep Space Hopper operation. They don’t even have to get into battle to wipe themselves out. ;o)
