Hello again dear fellows!
After having presented the redesigned MINI Galactica last week, it is time to
focus on the opponents of the Colonial Forces: the Cylon Empire! Most common
Cylon ship of course is the Raider, which already was designed in 2005. Today I
want to present you3 more Cylon starships:
- Cylon Base Star (1978s series)
- Cylon Tanker (1978s series)
- Cylon AB Raider (1980s series)
First, I’d like to introduce the Cylon Base Star. The model was a bit tricky, as
I had to figure out a way to build a regular pentagon. Another difficulty was to
get the pentagonal dishes flat, to avoid a too thick main body. You will find
out about the tricks when you look at the instructions. Just click the image or

MINI Cylon Base Star
The next vessel I want to reveal today is from the second season of the classic
series which dates back to 1980. Not much new is seen in these ten episodes, but
a different Raider design, called AB Raider. This one is a bit larger than the
usual design, and features a crew of five. Click the image or follow the link.
Cylon AB Raider
The last vessel for today is the Cylon Tanker, a common transport vessel of the
Cylons. The design is more simple. Most interesting aspect was to figure out a
stable construction for the sections where the corners are missing. Click the
