Mayday! Mayday! Calling.... "International Rescue" 5..... 4..... 3..... 2......1...... (URL) Hello all... This build is a part of my retro look at .space! (I have never been a sci-fi fan, and my look at space will not cover things such as the (...) (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, FTX) !!

Re: Mayday! 4 new MOCs - Retro space - Thunderbirds —Richie Dulin
(...) Well done, Janey! These MOCs are real tours de force to be reckoned with, except for TB4 (the proportions seem a bit wrong). Spotlighted. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Richie Dulin (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Mayday! 4 new MOCs - Retro space - Thunderbirds —C. L. GunningCook
(...) Thanks Richie, you are right, I had to be able to squeeze it into the pod of T2... and it got a bit tight. Also the proportions for T3 are off as well, the 3 side arms should be longer, I will rectify that before displaying them at our Hobby (...) (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Mayday! 4 new MOCs - Retro space - Thunderbirds —Selçuk Göre
(...) I've never seen the series but I'm a fan of Gerry Anderson's later work like Space 1999 and (especially) UFO. Your favorite is my favorite, too, She even not look like so much retro, can easily have a place for herself in more space!y (...) (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Mayday! 4 new MOCs - Retro space - Thunderbirds —Bruce Hietbrink
Hey Janey, Very cool. My favorite is probably the T1 - very interesting challenge to attach the wings to that body. Forgive me if I turn away from the MOC for a moment to ask about something else Is that a transparent 48x48 baseplate!?!? Where the (...) (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Mayday! 4 new MOCs - Retro space - Thunderbirds —C. L. GunningCook
(...) Thanks Bruce, I would have liked to have the wings "tuck" in, but at that scale it just looked way too messy, and yes, that is a clear baseplate, I got them on ebay. Janey "Red Brick" (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Mayday! 4 new MOCs - Retro space - Thunderbirds —Nathan Todd
Those are great! I also like TB2 the best. I should also note you did these in a very nice scale... it really lends itself to the style of MOC. I never liked TB3 in the show but your MOC improves it ; ) The only change I would make is to TB4, it (...) (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Mayday! 4 new MOCs - Retro space - Thunderbirds —C. L. GunningCook
(...) Thanks Nathan... I totally agree, in fact I did have it elongated but I couldnt close the pod door. I guess I should have made T4 first, then the pod, and then T2! Oh well... Live and Learn! I guess I could extend T2 by a stud or three, to (...) (18 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Yes sir, the will be "flying south of 7 for the 7th" (after a bit of tweaking), and sort of why I made them. Wink.
