Hi Lego-friends, this is my second big town-MOC. It is a half-timbered house, built after a real model from Germany. The model is located in Alsfeld/Germany. This building gripped me because of his details and his roof with all the towers. Here are (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

Hi Larry, (...) the arches are quite simpel: 1.layer: arch 1x12x3 (#6108) width 12 studs 2.layer: 2x arch 1x5x4 (#2339) with one stud distance between the two arches -> width= 5+1+5 = 11 studs 3.layer: 2x arch 1x5x4 (#2339) with no stud distance (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Right, 3 layers but only 2 radii since you use the 2x1x5x4 in both the smaller layers. That's what I thought but I wasn't quite sure from that vantage point. Another key point is that you offset the layers by only one. Many other people do a (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Wow. The scale of this project is amazing. You really nailed the real life building as well. I like the layered arches and the turrets. I'm jealous of your window collection, some of those sizes are near impossible to find. The sheep in the (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, FTX)

Hi Andreas, I really appreciate the scale and details of your creation. The minifigures seem to be just about the right proportion to the building. Many details are nice but I especially like the lower level arcade, the bay windows, and the roof. I (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Wonderful! Without being unappreciative of the rounded towers I really liked the castle shield at the bottom of the tudor level; it was nice to see them look so small. The whole thing was, of course, amazing! Great work, God Bless, Nathan (20 years ago, 18-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)
