Can you provide a shot of the arches looking up? I always like those gothic nested arches and I am curious how you did yours, are there only 2 radii there or 3?

the arches are quite simpel: 1.layer: arch 1x12x3 (#6108) width 12 studs 2.layer: 2x arch 1x5x4 (#2339) with one stud distance between the two arches -> width= 5+1+5 = 11 studs 3.layer: 2x arch 1x5x4 (#2339) with no stud distance between the two arches -> width= 5+5 = 10 studs

So there are three layers of arches. The middle arches (2.layer) must be fixes on AZMEPs, because of the 1/2-stud distance.

Right, 3 layers but only 2 radii since you use the 2x1x5x4 in both the smaller layers. That’s what I thought but I wasn’t quite sure from that vantage point.

Another key point is that you offset the layers by only one. Many other people do a full stud offset on each side, offsetting by two. That allows for nested radii, but your approach looks more fine grained, which is a plus.

With regard to the rounded parts, I was fairly clear on how to do the wall part, that’s how, for example, Kevin Wilson’s victorian house, or Jason Spears’ octagonal turret building is done, although (as your other post shows) not with as many segments to the curve, what I was most interested in was how you addressed the roof. A closer look shows that you sort of just fudged it, a few overlaps of slopes and then you transitioned to a square roof cross section. So no worries.

Thanks for the followups!
