Hi Larry,
|
Can you provide a shot of the arches looking up? I always like those gothic
nested arches and I am curious how you did yours, are there only 2 radii
there or 3?
|
the arches are quite simpel:
1.layer: arch 1x12x3 (#6108) width 12 studs
2.layer: 2x arch 1x5x4 (#2339) with one stud distance between the two arches ->
width= 5+1+5 = 11 studs
3.layer: 2x arch 1x5x4 (#2339) with no stud distance between the two arches ->
width= 5+5 = 10 studs
So there are three layers of arches. The middle arches (2.layer) must be fixes
on AZMEPs, because of the 1/2-stud distance.
I hope, that helps...

Also your round tower/turret/dormers came out quite nice. Any challenges in
doing those? I didnt quite fo.low how you did the roofs.
|
I will take some additional fotos to post here this evening....
Thanks for your reply.

| (...) Right, 3 layers but only 2 radii since you use the 2x1x5x4 in both the smaller layers. That's what I thought but I wasn't quite sure from that vantage point. Another key point is that you offset the layers by only one. Many other people do a (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)
