12-foot bridge built in 2 hours on live TV —Sean Kenney
In July 2004, I was contacted by Nicole Fox, one of the hosts of "Your Morning on CN8", a live morning show based out of Philadelphia.      (...) LOL :) Thanks, Eric. :) By the way, a new LEGO store just opened up in your neck of the woods -- at Bridgewater Commons. I had to make a few stops there in the days preceding the event to stock up on blue pieces (which, I was very lucky, they (...) (20 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.arch)

Hey Sean, This is awesome! Cool MOC and great exposure. One critique - are those 2-wide cars to scale? It may just be because of the light traffic, but they seem a bit lost in among the gray. Bruce (20 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Re: 12-foot bridge built in 2 hours on live TV —Sean Kenney
Bruce: (...) Yeah, the bridge is a little too wide; I would have liked to used narrower base plates, but I didn't have any other sizes in gray. The real Ben Franklin Bridge has 4 lanes of traffic each way, plus two sets of train tracks, one on each (...) (20 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch)

(...) There is no way you can even try to say that with a straight face, is there? I could hear you snickering even though I'm in GA and you're in AR. Nice try though. (20 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Sean, You're one of the folks I look up to... but what is a "sanction"? I think you meant tower... otherwise, Othmar Amman would be proud! Sid (20 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

(...) Thanks, yeah, I guess I meant stanchion. :) Gosh, I always called them "sanctions". Gasp, a faux pas on the .arch group. :) That's OK, I think I called them "pylons" on the TV show, so it's all good. :) Sean (20 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Sean, That look great! Excellent work as always. Too bad I missed you by a day, as i was in Philly on Tuesday. Of course, it was raining so hard i couldn't even SEE the bridge when i was driving across it... Tony (20 years ago, 5-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)
