One critique - are those 2-wide cars to scale?  It may just be because of
the light traffic, but they seem a bit lost in among the gray.

Yeah, the bridge is a little too wide; I would have liked to used narrower base
plates, but I didn't have any other sizes in gray.

The real Ben Franklin Bridge has 4 lanes of traffic each way, plus two sets of
train tracks, one on each edge.  If a car is 2 studs, a lane could be 3 studs...
so 8 lanes * 3 = 24... plus another 4 for each set of rails = 32.  Add in a
concrete divider down the middle (+2) and the walls (+2 on each side) and that's
an ideal width of 38 studs.  The base plate is 48.  So, not too bad.

Oh, err, that, and I had a ton of microscale cars sitting around. :D  Maybe just
not enough!

Sean

Hey Sean, This is awesome! Cool MOC and great exposure. One critique - are those 2-wide cars to scale? It may just be because of the light traffic, but they seem a bit lost in among the gray. Bruce (20 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)
