Re: DAT Explorer v. 0.6.1 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) This is SO cool! Todd needs to put this on the resources page if it isn't already. Thanks, Kev. Much better use of your time (1) than resizing images and editing out tears and cropping blank edges. (2) This ROCKS. So you have the render engine (...)         Re: DAT Explorer v. 0.6.1 —Kevin Loch
(...) It's running on FreeBSD 3.2-RELEASE on a dual PII 333. The bandwidth for the explorer is in the noise compared to the scans. Cool. Any chance for rendering slices of Datsville itself? (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

I like this, but I think that it is hard to navigate. Is north always up, or does it change dependoing on your viewing direction? Some sort of "compass" would be nice. But it is cool anyway! Just like VRML! --Tobias Larry Pieniazek skrev i (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) The directions work as on a map, so if you're looking East and want to look left, choose North. Then if you want to look behind you, choose South. The screen always tells you which way you are facing. -John Van (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)
