Hey all,
Well I got board today so rather than doing laundry or something else
productive I decided to answer a question I have been asking myself for months.
Actually I think it was John Barns that put the idea back into my head recently.
Anyway below you will find the top 15 colors in order of how many parts have
been made per color. These numbers are probably off a little bit but there far
enough apart that the order probably wouldn't change.
the top 15
1.) white 2477parts <-- I always thought red was #1
2.) black 2406parts
3.) red 2120parts
4.) yellow 2073parts
5.) light grey 1617parts
6.) blue 1512parts
7.) dark grey 1079parts
8.) green 905parts
9.) brown 668parts
10.) tan 592parts
11.) medium stone grey 491parts <-- this is creeping up the list fast
12.) dark stone grey 438parts
13.) orange 409parts
14.) trans white "clear" 302parts <--I didn't think it would make the list
15.) medium blue 232parts <-- Im surprised by this one too.
These results really surprised me, but then again other than medium blue I use
these colors in most of my models. It should be interesting to see how long it
takes the "new" colors to come close to there counter parts.
Enjoy,
OnDrew
p.s. I found my information on Bricklink's color guide about 3 day's ago.

| (...) Very odd. Does this include Bionicle parts? I think there are some blue bionicles, so maybe that skews the results? Bruce (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.color)
