        Re: LEGO Theft —Tom Reed
(...) Maybe somebody wanted a bunch of gray brick? You'd think it would be hard to walk out, unnoticed, with that under your arm, wouldn't you? Tom (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

         Re: LEGO Theft —Henrik Erlandsson
(...) Well you could dress up in a Postal uniform (and cap :1 )and carry an empty box, asking directions for where the Stanley Cup is, then put it in your box, and ask for directions for like the ticket office or someplace near the exit, and just (...)          Re: LEGO Theft —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Before anyone asks: It was NOT me. :D But I'd imagine it was done under some veneer of "officiality" and a Cup steward who was less than rigorous in demanding credentials. Or else they're *really* being far too lax in keeping an eye on things. (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

         Re: LEGO Theft —Mark Neumann
My bet is that it was glued, making it useless as a parts collection to an AFOL. My bet a NHL(+AFOL?) nut took it. Hmmmm, maybe I should check E-bay and see if the winning auction bid is lower than the reward. ;) Mark (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

        Re: LEGO Theft —Jeff Jardine

        Re: LEGO Theft —Ben Rogers
How about this theft in Germany: Thieves broke into a children's nursery containing computers and cash but only stole the Lego. Police said they even stole a plastic brick being used to prop up an alarm clock which had a missing a leg. Detectives in (...) (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Hey, if I was a theif (and I'm not), that's where I would set priority of theft. They probably got scared away before they got to the secondary stuff! ;) -- Steven B.    (...) Looks as if all's well that end's well: (URL) used to live in Tucson (plan to go back some day), and one of the "inside" jokes shared by her residents is that "Tucson" is the most mispelled city in the world. And yet another example:-) JOHN (22 years ago, 2-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)
