        Turrets for Robowars —Rich Thompson
   Thinking about Robowars, I expanded on the idea a bit to include all out warfare with multiple robots in teams.    Rich: this looked real nice. I thought I was the only person melding the cyber cannon and the mindstorms. my first "trick' was to place all 4 in a line, then run a "camshaft" over the firing mech.. it was fun to watch them fire in sequence. then I (...)      That's Easy..Run an axle with a cam out to just short of the arm's length.the cam will push the arm back (cocking it) and theas it finishes it's turn it will release, totally free to swing...    Use the slip gear for the steering use a wheel based model. When steering hits limits clutch slips, Turret turns..then you just need a centering algortihm ro return turret and steering to center, or use same theory eccept that the oversteer (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)
